In my travels today I happened to come across Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East General Hospital), which is in the midst of a major redevelopment. A new wing was added to the building roughly every decade since the first hospital structure opened in 1929. Sad to see that the later-built “progressive moderne” style wings demolished, but happy that the original 1929 building was retained to be a part of the revitalized facility.
