Cutting a long 2280 SSD into a smaller 2230 SSD form factor is completely possible as long as all of the electronics are on one side like the one in this video. Do not attempt unless you know what you’re doing. This was something people did when the Steam Deck first released because it was actually cheaper to buy and cut these longer SSDs than it was to buy a 2230 SSD. #pcgaming #pcgamer
