🐋 A humpback whale has been rescued off the coast of Malua Bay, south of Batemans Bay. A National Parks and Wild Service spokesperson said the mammal was found tangled in what appeared to be commercial fishing floats and ropes on Sunday. The whale had been seen swimming quickly 100 metres offshore, having travelled north from Broulee after it was initially reported to ORRCA by a member of the public, the spokesperson said.
