The number of homeless people in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties is higher than ever, according to the latest numbers from the national biannual homelessness count. Surveyors identified 12,034 homeless people in the tri-county region this January, with 87% of them residing in Multnomah County, according to the preliminary data.
