These are scenes from two avalanches in the French Alps last week. One, the footage of the avalanche itself in Val d’Isere, courtesy of @elyzator, where no one was hurt, and the second, including the footage of the helicopter and rescue efforts, that I witnessed myself in Courchevel where the skier who was caught in the avalanche didn’t make it.
