Emma Meesseman, the 2019 WNBA Finals MVP who hasn't appeared in the league since 2022, has committed to joining the defending champion Liberty, sources told ESPN.
Two-time All-Star Emma Meesseman intends to return to the WNBA and sign with the New York Liberty, according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
Meesseman joins a Liberty team that is atop the Eastern Conference with a 15-6 record, second only in the entire WNBA to Minnesota. The Liberty are so stacked that Meesseman can ease into minutes and come off the bench for a while before New York needs to decide whether she should be starting.
