Paying off a 'Doctor Who' Joke two years in the making, it looks like team TARDIS got to visit 'Star Trek'... just not at the best time.

After years of in-jokes and little references, Doctor Who and Star Trek have finally crossed over in live action, with the TARDIS appearing in the latest episode of Strange New Worlds.

Doctor Who's main character can show up at any point in time and space thanks to his TARDIS, and that would seem to include the Star Trek universe. When the USS Enterprise is trapped inside the Scavengers' ship in "The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail," the iconic blue box can also briefly be spotted near Captain Pike's (Anson Mount) ship.
