政府一直全力跟進大埔宏福苑火災的支援、善後及調查事宜。大埔宏福苑援助基金現時已推出11個項目，提供緊急財政支援予不同類別受大火影響的人士，包括所有住戶、死難者家屬、留院傷者、學生、外籍家庭傭工、工友、業主、租戶，援助金的總承擔額約12億元。

大埔宏福苑火災發生至今一個月，行政長官李家超代表特區政府和全港市民，對來自內地和世界各地的慰問、關心與援助致以至誠謝意，並感謝香港社會各界熱心捐獻和積極參與善後支援。

舊油麻地警署坐落廣東道627號，為英國愛德華時期建築，屬本港二級歷史建築。文創處將地面樓層活化，把歷史建築與香港經典警匪電影文化結合，舉辦這次展覽，推廣電影旅遊和本地電影文化。
