因應大埔宏福苑火災事故，勞工處將向在屋苑工作的工友和外籍家庭傭工發放二萬元特別補助。部門呼籲合資格工友和外傭盡快提交申請，並正聯繫職工會、承辦商、相關國家駐港總領事館和住戶，安排申請事宜。
特區政府多次強調，黎智英在羈押期間所獲得的醫療服務是完備的。在今年8月的公開法庭聆訊中，代表黎智英的資深大律師向法庭表明，懲教院所為黎智英每日安排醫療檢查，且對黎智英在懲教院所內獲得的醫療服務沒有任何投訴。另一方面，懲教署有安排專職教士按黎智英的意願提供宗教服務。有關媒體對這些事實視而不見，繼續重複謊言和作出卑劣操作，特區政府對此堅決反對。

兩個屋苑維修工程使用的棚網懷疑涉及行使虛假文書，警方正展開調查。為保障公眾安全，發展局宣布所有正進行大維修工程的樓宇，若外牆有棚網，必須於星期六或之前拆除。
