The Buckeyes received 1,472 points, including 11 first-place votes, after winning the College Football Playoff last year. Ohio State opens the season against Texas at Ohio Stadium on Aug. 30. The Longhorns are ranked No. 1 with 1,552 points and 25 first-place votes.
