An independent appeal board has dismissed Nottingham Forest's appeal against a 750,000 pound ($969,525) fine imposed on the Premier League club over social media posts criticising a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) last season,

Nottingham Forest were fined for a social media post criticising video assistant referee Stuart Attwell last season.

Forest’s lack of “genuine apology” and “genuine remorse” for the post, which was “ill-chosen and irresponsible”, had been noted.
