The UNC Tar Heels have issued a statement regarding GM Michael Lombardi, who's under investigation following an HR complaint.

North Carolina confirmed Thursday, July 30, that it's investigating football general manager Michael Lombardi after he was recently placed on leave.

Michael Lombardi joined Bill Belichick in making the NFL-to-college move when North Carolina hired the former New England Patriots coach in 2024.

The Tar Heels hired the veteran executive before the 2025 season.
