Even though the Thunder swept the Grizzlies, each game was dramatically closer. The Thunder blew out the Grizzlies in a historic 51-point Game 1 win. They beat Memphis in a standard blowout for Game 2. They completed a historic 29-point comeback in Game 3. And finally survived a back-and-forth affair in Game 4.

After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in the opening round of the playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder will now either play the Denver Nuggets or LA Clippers.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will have another week off before their next playoff series. After they swept the Memphis Grizzlies in Round 1, they await the winner between the Denver Nuggets and the LA Clippers.

Through Round 1, Williams passed every test with flying colors. This is the version the Thunder will need for the rest of the playoffs. When Gilgeous-Alexander struggled, his All-Star teammate picked up the slack and won his bench lineups against the Grizzlies. Just fantastic all around.

As has seemingly become customary for this Thunder squad, it’ll have an abnormal amount of time to burn off the chocolate chips and snickerdoodles. The conference semifinals have long been slated to begin May 5-6,
