All eyes are now on the Jackson Hole, Wyoming, symposium where Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak on Friday at 10 a.m.

In its latest outlook, Ventura Securities said it expects Comex gold futures to touch $3,600 per ounce by year-end, after hitting an all-time high of $3,534.10 on August 7.

The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq are falling as the stock market looks ahead to the Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole Symposium.
