The University of Texas System Board of Regents will be asked this week to approve a six-year contract extension for Del Conte, online records show. The extension would keep Del Conte, 57, with the Texas athletic department through 2036.

A USTIN - Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte will receive a six-year contract extension through 2036 that will give him a raise to $2.9 million in 2026 and eventually pay him $4.25 million in the final year, pending approval by the school's Board of Regents this week.
