After ESPN’s Stephen A Smith replied to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ ‘face of the league’ comments on Friday, he had a few more words for King James on X, formerly Twitter. Smith took exception to James’ response to Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards not wanting to be the new face of the NBA.

As arguably the most outspoken member of the NBA media in the modern day and age, Smith took great offense with James’s comments. When Molly Qerim asked him for his thoughts on the matter, Smith straightened his suit and furrowed his brow with the noble air of a general riding into battle to fight for his comrades.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has won four titles and rung in just about every accolade there is to offer in the league, and he's done so with the pressure of being "the chosen one" and wearing the crown as the face of the NBA since his arrival in 2003.
