Lexus' Hybrid Powertrain That Delivers 181 Horsepower The 2022 Lexus UX 250h utilizes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine, generating a not-so-impressive 181 horsepower.

According to Lexus, UX stands for "urban crossover," signifying the Lexus UX 300h's compact, urban-focused luxury design.

It doesn’t look any different, but the most affordable Lexus, the UX 300h, is getting a new hybrid system and a little more power for 2025.

Lexus added its UX small crossover vehicle to its lineup five years ago, with gasoline-only (UX 200) and gasoline-electric hybrid (UX 250h) versions offered.

The 2025 Lexus UX 300h is more powerful and more efficient than the 2024 model, and with a base price of $37,490, it’s also slightly ($1,000) more expensive (all prices include $1,150 destination).

The Lexus UX hybrid crossover gets a boost in power and fuel economy for the 2025 model year, along with a change in badging from UX 250h to UX 300h.

That's changed for 2025, with the UX gaining more power by way of the Toyota Prius. While it's still hybrid only, the 2025 Lexus UX gets a new hybrid powertrain lifted from directly from the Prius.
