Trish Stratus accepted Tiffany Stratton's challenge to a WWE women's title match at Evolution. Stratton said she was looking forward to facing Jade Cargill at SummerSlam, but also wanted to defend her title at Evolution, calling out Stratus, who was happy to accept the opportunity.

"WWE SmackDown" finished off the company's week in Pittsburgh with some Fourth of July fireworks. This show was all about tag-team action, as it exclusively featured multi-person matches. It feels like quite some time since that occurred, but considering the outcomes, it worked out. Drew McIntyre is back. But in somewhat of a lackluster fashion.
