A New Hampshire mother shot and killed two of her children and her husband, who had reportedly been diagnosed with brain cancer, before killing herself, authorities said.

A vigil is planned in Madbury on Thursday evening for community members to gather in support of each other after this week's murder-suicide.

Autopsies revealed that 34-year-old Emily Long fatally shot 48-year-old Ryan Long and the couple’s two children—8-year-old Parker and 6-year-old Ryan—before turning the gun on herself, New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella said Wednesday in a press release.

Authorities believe Emily Long killed her husband and their two young children before shooting herself on Monday evening. A third child, a toddler, was unharmed.

"Inside the home, troopers found the bodies of four family members: Emily Long (age 34), Ryan Long (age 48), son Parker Long (age 8), and daughter Ryan Long (age 6). A third child, a toddler, was found alive and suffered no physical injuries," New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Four members of a family, including two children, were found dead in a New Hampshire home and police are investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide, authorities said.
