The Washington, DC Department of Health said Tuesday it is investigating a confirmed measles case. The infected person took the Amtrak from New York to DC and visited an urgent care facility while contagious.

Tampa Bay area medical professionals said they are on high alert as a measles outbreak continues to spread nationwide. The first case in Florida was reported earlier this month in Miami after a high school student contracted the virus.
