After missing out on the Frozen Four last season, Minnesota is hoping they can get one big game out of its stars to take down Goliath in the semifinals. It wasn’t an easy road for head coach Brad Frost’s team, who had to go through Ohio State to get to the WCHA final just a couple of weeks ago.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — In the small world of college women’s hockey that has been dominated by handful of schools in the 2½ decades since the NCAA began sponsoring the sport, Wisconsin has come the closest to conquering it. This bunch of Badgers might be the best of all.

The NCAA Women’s Frozen Four officially kicks off Friday night in Minneapolis with the top four teams — Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota and Cornell — playing for the 2025 national championship.
