Ford discovered that 18 engine assemblies were not inspected correctly, leading to a fuel leak risk and recall
Ford has issued an update to almost 3,000 Irish owners of Kuga plug-in models, who have been affected by a potential fire risk with their cars. In March, Ford issued a safety recall notice alerting owners to a problem with the battery that could potentially lead to a fire and advised them to drive in auto EV mode and avoid charging the battery.
Ford says it is 10-15 days away from releasing a software update that will act as an early warning for the 2,850 Irish motorists affected by a potential battery defect that poses a fire risk to Kuga plug-in hybrid (PHEV) cars.
Ford has added another recall under its belt. This time, the Blue Oval has issued a “do-not-drive” notice for three more 2024-2025 Bronco owners, citing a potential issue with the front suspension. This comes just weeks after a similar recall involving two other examples of the SUV.
