Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The University of Texas System Board of Regents will be asked this week to approve a six-year contract extension for Del Conte, online records show. The extension would keep Del Conte, 57, with the Texas athletic department through 2036.

Del Conte is set to receive a contract extension through 2036 that includes an 18.4% raise, according to documents in the UT System Board of Regents agenda packet. The contract is pending board approval during its regular meeting Aug.
