Packers Announce Malik Willis Injury Update

The former Auburn quarterback produced a unique set of stats in his first start of the NFL season on Saturday night.
Malik Willis was questionable to play Saturday night because of a right shoulder injury. He was having a career night when he threw a 7-yard pass to Christian Watson with 7:40 left in the fourth quarter. Willis was not contacted on the play but immediately grabbed his right shoulder in pain.
Willis became the first quarterback all-time to complete 85% of his passes while averaging 13 yards per attempt, and rush for 60 yards. His 13.7 yards per attempt were the most by a quarterback with 50 rushing yards in a game in the last 50 seasons.
Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis, once an NFL afterthought, has shown more than enough to be a starter somewhere in 2026, writes Doug Farrar.
With Jordan Love sidelined, the former Auburn quarterback will be at the helm on Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won’t play Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers due to the back injury that knocked him out of a loss to the New England Patriots last weekend. The Ravens listed Jackson among their inactive players for Saturday’s must-win game.
The Ravens quarterback was doubtful to play with a back contusion, leaving Tyler Huntley to start a must-win game.
