The Asia Cup 2025 will start from September 9, the Asian Cricket Council has confirmed on Saturday. The tournament will take place in the UAE.

The fate of the tournament was discussed at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Annual General Meeting held in Dhaka on July 24.

With only seven months left until the next T20 World Cup iteration to be played in India and Sri Lanka, the continental tournament will return to the T20 format.
