Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office has agreed to drop charges against one of the so-called fake electors accused of trying to undermine the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The Arizona Attorney General's office is dropping charges against businessman Jim Lamon in the 2020 election interference case. Lamon was one of 18 people indicted for allegedly sending false paperwork to Congress claiming Donald Trump won Arizona. The broader case has faced legal setbacks, including a judge tossing out the original indictment.
