According to officials, construction will begin on MOSH’s new location on the Northbank in 2026, before a projected grand opening in Summer 2028.

MOSH prepares to close its Southbank location, inviting the community to celebrate its legacy before moving to a new Northbank site in 2028.

MOSH announced earlier this month they are permanently closing their location on the Southbank in September—three years before their new location opens.

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) announced that it will close on Sept. 1 to focus on the development of its new state-of-the-art facility on Jacksonville’s Northbank.
