Residents across various Atlanta neighborhoods worry that the city is overlooking projects promised to voters — some that have been in the works for a decade or more.

In just a matter of hours, all construction-related lane, road, and sidewalk projects will come to a stop in the City of Atlanta for the Fourth of July construction moratorium.

The Georgia Department of Transportation and the Atlanta Department of Transportation will both have major pavement projects happening at the same time this summer.

Failing to complete the long-awaited projects could undermine public trust and stifle real estate development, said Atlanta City Councilmember Alex Wan.
