Lows are expected to fall below freezing in the northern part of the state, and even south Alabama could even fall into the 30s. Temperatures are expected to begin to warm up on Friday and will continue to moderate over the weekend.

The Weather Channel said, “Other more isolated storms might produce hail and gusty winds as far south as parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.” The Storm Prediction Center has portions of Alabama under a low-end "marginal risk" (level 1/5) of severe thunderstorms.

Severe weather hit Alabama on Saturday, and more storms will be possible through the overnight hours. Several areas in central Alabama, including Calera, Gordo, Maplesville, Pletcher and Sipsey, have reported damage as of late Saturday.

The National Weather Service has survey teams out across Alabama on Sunday surveying damage after many tornadoes are reported to have touched down around the state.
