Real Madrid got their 2025-26 La Liga campaign off to a winning start, but they were made to work for it, winning 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu against Osasuna.

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso said Trent Alexander-Arnold and the club's other new signings had performed well in their LaLiga opener on Tuesday and did not seem to be weighed down by the pressure of playing in front of an expectant home crowd.
