John Metchie III spoke for the first time about his role with the Eagles after Philadelphia acquired him in a trade with the Houston Texans.

Metchie caught five of eight targets for 45 yards while adding 23 yards on one kickoff return in Houston's 20-10 preseason loss to the Vikings in Week 1. Philadelphia officially announced the move on Monday, reuniting Metchie with DeVonta Smith and other former Alabama teammates.
