BEREA, Ohio — Kenny Pickett returned to 11-on-11s on Tuesday for the first time since Day 4 of camp July 26, but he’s not yet ready for the “dress rehearsal” game on Saturday vs. the Rams. Pickett sat out practice on Wednesday with his hamstring injury, and Kevin Stefanski ruled him out for the preseason finale.
And, it sounds like Pickett won't appear in the Browns' final preseason contest on Saturday vs. the Rams. Stefanski did provide a positive update about Pickett on Wednesday, though, despite him still dealing with the injury. “Continuing to progress. He’s done everything in his power to get back out there ASAP,” Stefanski said.
Pickett has attempted 56 passes in camp, according to ESPN Cleveland (he's completed 42 of them), while Gabriel has thrown three times as many passes (160), and Sanders has nearly double (100) — plus Gabriel attempted 18 passes on 38 offensive snaps and Sanders attempted 23 passes on 47 offensive snaps in the preseason, per Pro Football Focus.
