Boston Red Sox designated hitter Rafael Devers is not interested in moving to first base. The latest position switch proposal comes after he was asked earlier this year to cover third base.
Henry was accompanied by Craig Breslow and team president Sam Kennedy. But Henry alone sat with Devers and manager Alex Cora in the visiting manager’s office at Kauffman Stadium.
After Triston Casas was ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, Devers was asked by the Red Sox to take over defensive duties at first base, which is something he's never done for Boston at the MLB level.
