A Shorewood bar handed out free burgers Tuesday in celebration of the Milwaukee Brewers' 12-game winning streak. A line of hungry Brewers fans at Cloud Red, near Oakland Avenue and Kensington Boulevard, went around the block.

"If we pull it off I want one of those burgers," says Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff, who stands to play a role in a big giveway.

The Brewers won their 12th straight game Wednesday afternoon when they beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-5 at American Family Field. That triggered a promotion that has been around in Milwaukee since the 1940s and earned local residents a free burger from George Webb.
