Vaughn made the Opening Day roster with the White Sox in 2021 and hit .235 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI. He hit 57 home runs over the next three seasons, including 21 in 2023, when he also drove in 80 runs. He struggled in the early part of 2025 and was sent to the minors before the White Sox traded him to the Brewers.

The blast against Los Angeles Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto on July 7 scored three runs and played a huge role in the Brewers knocking Yamamoto out of the game before he could get three outs.

The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up first baseman Andrew Vaughn, sources say. Vaughn, 27, is formerly the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. He struggled in Chicago, was demoted to Triple-A, and was traded to the Brewers in exchange for right-hander Aaron Civale and cash.
