The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed Chris Godwin at a discounted price, with the Pro Bowler remaining in the NFC South for the next three years.

Five-year veteran offensive lineman Ben Bredeson signed a new contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bredeson, a former fourth-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but also played for the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants.

The Buccaneers have their starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield and now the team has secured its backup QB as well.

The Buccaneers are bringing back backup quarterback Kyle Trask. He agreed to a one-year, $2.787 million deal, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. Michael Pratt is the only other quarterback under contract behind starter Baker Mayfield.

The Miami Dolphins are signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker K.J. Britt to a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Britt, 25, was a fifth-round pick for Tampa Bay in the 2021 NFL draft and stepped into the starting lineup for 11 games during the 2024 season after mostly working as a backup and a special teamer in his first three seasons.
