New York Rep. Pat Ryan (D-NY) is urging the Federal Trade Commission to investigate trading card company Collectors for potential monopolistic practices amid its acquisition of rival Beckett.

PSA parent company Collectors reached an agreement to acquire grading competitor Beckett, the company announced Monday.

The well known collectibles company Beckett has been acquired by Collectors, the parent company to PSA. The announcement was made via a press release on the Collectors' website.
