The Atlanta Falcons have hired New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich as their defensive coordinator, the team announced on Saturday. Ulbrich

It is a return to Atlanta for Ulbrich. He was the Falcons’ linebackers coach there from 2015-20, then interim defensive coordinator in 2020 after Dan Quinn was fired as head coach and current Falcons coach Raheem Morris was the interim coach.

The New York Jets gave Jeff Ulbrich an opportunity to run the team for the final three months of the 2024 regular season. While things didn't go exactly as expected, the interim head coach has found a new home away from Florham Park...and a familiar place for him in fact.
