2025 SEC football power rankings after Week 13
Week 13 of the 2025 college football season has concluded. Mississippi State and Ole Miss had an open date in Week 13 from the SEC. No. 20 Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC) defeated Florida (3-7, 2-5 SEC), 31-11, on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Tennessee recorded its first win at Florida since 2003.
At 8-2, the Wolverines are ranked at No. 18 in the most recent College Football Playoff ranking, where the top 12 teams at the end of the season will earn a trip to the playoff. That means Michigan still has some work to do to climb into contention, but its road to the playoff is pretty clear.
The Houston Cougars (8-2), who broke into the College Football Playoff rankings at No. 23 this week, close out their home schedule on Saturday afternoon when they host the TCU Horned Frogs (6-4) in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

Tomorrow's Top 25 Today: Oregon jumps Ole Miss to join top five of updated college football rankings
25. Pitt (NR): The Panthers were No. 23 in the AP Top 25 poll prior to losing to Notre Dame last week, so even though they were further down in "Others receiving votes" it should not be hard to see them return to voters' ballots after beating Georgia Tech.
Since then, the Ducks have responded. They pulled out a gritty win at Iowa and cruised by Minnesota. In presenting its best case to the selection committee, No. 5 Oregon put a bow on it with a 42-27 defeat of No. 16 Southern California.
With its Southeastern Conference slate complete, the Georgia Bulldogs (9-1) — fourth in the latest College Football Playoff rankings — host the Charlotte 49ers (1-9) at Sanford Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Pitt's upset win over Georgia Tech pushes ACC to brink of College Football Playoff doomsday scenario
Despite No. 13 Miami's victory at Virginia Tech, SMU's 32-point blowout of Louisville and Duke's win at North Carolina ended the Hurricanes' shot at a conference championship. That leaves just three teams vying for two spots in the Dec. 6 ACC Championship in Charlotte: No. 19 Virginia, Pittsburgh and SMU.
