25. Pitt (NR): The Panthers were No. 23 in the AP Top 25 poll prior to losing to Notre Dame last week, so even though they were further down in "Others receiving votes" it should not be hard to see them return to voters' ballots after beating Georgia Tech.

The latest College Football Playoff rankings have been released and Alabama took a tumble down to No. 10 after losing to Oklahoma, with Georgia taking their spot at No. 4.

The Fighting Irish led 35-0 after one quarter of football. Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries. The Notre Dame offense ran for 324 yards on just 24 rushes — 13.7 yards per rush — with six touchdowns.

Despite No. 13 Miami's victory at Virginia Tech, SMU's 32-point blowout of Louisville and Duke's win at North Carolina ended the Hurricanes' shot at a conference championship. That leaves just three teams vying for two spots in the Dec. 6 ACC Championship in Charlotte: No. 19 Virginia, Pittsburgh and SMU.

The Houston Cougars (8-2), who broke into the College Football Playoff rankings at No. 23 this week, close out their home schedule on Saturday afternoon when they host the TCU Horned Frogs (6-4) in a Big 12 Conference matchup.
