While 3D Touch is not the most successful tech advancement that Apple has made in the last decade, I believe it is time for the feature to return.

Nothing really. I just think 3D Touch was instantly useful and Dynamic Island is taking more time to prove itself. 3D Touch was considered in almost every Apple app from the start.

Among them, there’s one called the Faster Haptic Touch option. Essentially, it is a reinvented version of the 3D Touch that debuted with the iPhone 6s back in September 2015.

The 3D Touch functionality allows iPhone 6s users to launch certain in-app features pre-selected by the developer right from the home screen by pressing down slightly more firmly on an app icon.

The 3D Touch feature, available on the iPhone 6S all the way to the iPhone XS, was more useful than iPhone 14 Pro's Dynamic Island.

Users can now speed up the iPhone's haptic feedback thanks to a new setting in iOS 17, and at its fastest, it comes close to how the old 3D Touch used to work.
