Selena Quintanilla's family is speaking out after her killer, Yolanda Saldívar, was denied parole on Thursday.
Selena was killed on March 31, 1995, by Saldívar in a hotel room in Corpus Christi, Texas, during a confrontation. Saldívar was the former president of the Selena fan club and a manager of Selena's clothing boutiques. She is serving a life sentence at the Patrick L. O’Daniel Unit in Gatesville, Texas.
Yolanda Saldivar was convicted for the murder of singer Selena and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 30 years in 1995. The Texas Board of Pardons and Parole told PEOPLE on Thursday the reason her parole was denied.
