Across Indianapolis, Hoosiers marked Veterans Day with ceremonies and moments of reflection, honoring those who served and the freedoms they protect. INDIANAPOLIS — It's a yearly Nov. 11 tradition as many people get the day off work, but for millions of people across the country, it's more than a holiday.

The highlight of Veterans Day in downtown Indiana is the annual American Legion Parade, which will begin Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.
