Uganda has entered an agreement with the United States to take in nationals from third countries who may not get asylum in the U.S. but are reluctant to return to their countries of origin, the foreign affairs ministry said on Thursday.
Uganda has signed a deal with the United States to accept people from other countries who have been refused asylum in America but don't want to go back to their home countries.
Conditions of the agreement stipulate Uganda will not accept “individuals with criminal records and unaccompanied minors.”
Uganda will accept illegal immigrants from the U.S. who are fearful of going back to their home country. They expressed preference for African migrants.

CBS News said that it had obtained internal government documents showing that Uganda had agreed to accept an unclear number of asylum seekers in the US.
