Voters get to decide who will appear on the November ballot for a range of elected offices, from governor to the U.S. House and Senate.
District 9 was propelled into a runoff election after none of the three original candidates secured more than 50% of the votes during November’s special election. Rehmet led the polls with 47% of total votes, and Wambsganss trailed with 35%.
The deadline for mail-in ballots to be returned to the county is Election Day, March 3. If a ballot is postmarked by 7 p.m. locally on election day, it’ll be counted if the county receives it by 5 p.m. on March 4. The U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least one week before the deadline, if not sooner.
