Microsoft is reducing its global workforce by nearly 4%. Gaming is among the departments affected, and as a result, Xbox has abandoned games like Everwild and Perfect Dark.

Tech giant Microsoft has laid off more than 9,000 employees and it’s the gaming division which has been affected the most. Following Microsoft’s announcement, a lot of big name studios have shelved or cancelled upcoming titles.

Microsoft is cutting 830 jobs in Washington state, part of 9,000 global layoffs as the company continues its post-fiscal-year restructuring.
