The 2025 Little League World Series is here -- with some of the best young baseball and softball players in the country. The Little League Baseball World Series (LLBWS) and the Little League Softball World Series (LLSWS) will showcase a field of 20 and 12 teams, respectively.

The Little League World Series baseball tournament continues today with Chihuahua, Mexico, taking on Chinese Taipei in the international bracket.

LLWS performance: Randal Grichuk made Little League World Series appearances with a team from Richmond, Texas, in both 2003 and 2004. Texas lost to Massachusetts in the quarterfinals of the 2003 LLWS, but Grichuk's team reached the semifinals and won the third-place game over Mexico the following year.

The 2025 Little League World Series is officially off and running. Eight teams continue their quest to win it all in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Sunday in the annual summer tournament. A new winner will be crowned in 2025, too, after last year's champion, Lake Mary, Florida, was eliminated in the regional round.

The road to Williamsport was filled with more drama than usual for a couple Little League World Series participants this year, including a Venezuelan team that needed visa exemptions to make the trip and an American club that narrowly knocked off a defending champ.
