Rian Johnson’s third instalment of the Knives Out franchise was cosy crime at its finest and fuzziest. It had a gothic church, a haunted wood, a postcard village, simmering small-town resentment and lines like, “That money is one psalm in the Bible of my bitterness” or the immortal, "You're nothing but a PINO - a Priest In Name Only".

There are three Knives Out movies so far: the original, Glass Onion, and Wake Up Dead Man... but which of them stands as the best one overall?

Like the previous two Knives Out mysteries, Wake Up Dead Man doesn't shy away from current events and modern politics. And that's by design.

Daniel Craig makes a return to the Knives Out franchise this week, reprising his role as master detective Benoit Blanc in Wake Up Dead Man. He's joined on the murder mystery by a set of fresh faces, including Josh O’Connor, who takes centre-stage. In fact, Craig doesn’t even appear until about 40 minutes into the film.
