The Boston Celtics got back in the win column Sunday afternoon, defeating the visiting Denver Nuggets 110-103. In doing so, Boston avoided dropping a third straight regular season game, something the Celtics haven't done since March 2023.

▪ Jayson Tatum has faced just about every defensive coverage imaginable, and most often teams try to wobble him with blitzes, traps and double teams that force another player to beat them. But Tatum is a willing and excellent passer, and this approach sometimes leads to quick advantages for the Celtics closer to the rim.

Jaylen Brown was not pleased with a loose ball foul call that he felt Darius Garland flopped on. The call changed the game, he said.
