A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for some North Texas counties Friday morning. The National Weather Service issued the watch for Jack, Wise, Cooke, Grayson and Fannin counties until 10 a.m. and a First Alert Weather Day was also issued for Friday.

Hail from 1.25 to 2.25 inches was reported in areas west of Dallas-Fort Worth, where the impact from the morning storms was felt the most.

DALLAS - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has ended for much of the region. An update from the National Weather Service ended the watch in much of the Metroplex. Areas to the east will remain under the watch until 10 p.m. Some areas have already seen storms, high winds and hail.
