Students on the University of South Carolina's Columbia campus experienced an active shooter scare on Sunday evening, but no threat was found and no shooting took place.

The University of South Carolina has given the all-clear after issuing an alert about a possible active shooter near a library on the main Columbia campus

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) — The University of South Carolina (USC) reported an active shooter on its Columbia campus Sunday evening. As of 7:11 p.m., police have seen no evidence of an active shooter at this time. Students and staff should still continue to shelter until there’s an all-clear.
